Controlled Substance Prescription Use

Our healthcare providers have the right to refuse to prescribe pain medications, particularly opioids, if they believe it is not in the patient's best interest. It is essential that this decision is made following a thorough evaluation, an informed discussion with the patient, and consideration of alternative pain management options. We strive to balance these factors while respecting the patient’s right to make informed decisions about their healthcare.

We require routine appointments to initiate the prescribing of controlled substances. You must attend your regular follow-up visits to be considered for medication refills. 

If you have requested narcotic or controlled substance medications from our physicians, you will be required to agree to specific terms that will be discussed during your appointment.
